Lavishly treated to tea at Floris with special gal pals. So elegant, so beautiful, so delightful! We had the pleasure of being waited on by Maeve who could not have been more helpful and professional. The tea room is so gorgeous. The seasonal menu struck the perfect sweet and savory balance. Delightfully served on gorgeous tiered tea trays, each bite was artfully presented. Loved the huge selection of teas. We tried several and they were all perfectly brewed, served at just the right temp, and beautifully poured by Maeve. The iced tea options were also fabulous. What a great addition to a visit to the VMFA!

A beautiful elegant experience. They are doing a Japanese theme in honor of the Samurai exhibition being shown at the museum. There were so many selections of delicious teas and every course was delicious which was amazing because I've been to teas before we're half of the food was not the best.

Went to Floris with a group of 6 today 3/24/24 and was blown away! Loved the sweet and savory treats and the unlimited tea. The tea menu was extensive and there were so many flavors to choose from. The interior was beautiful and the tea room is a great addition to vmfa. Cost was around $50-$60 per person so be prepared to treat yourself. Can’t wait to be back!

We had a wonderful time at Floris on December 27, 2023. The limited edition Holiday Menu included a perfect mix of sweet and savory. A particular highlight was the ricotta and pickled apple spread. Huge selection of black, white, green and herbal teas guaranteed to satisfy even the most selective of tea drinkers. The service was accommodating and efficient (our waitress was very personable and attentive), and the atmosphere couldn’t have been nicer or more appropriate - a stately dining room with live piano music in the background. Can’t wait to return.

Had a lovely date with my partner here. Their menu is seasonal, and aside from one or two things we tried that we weren't big on everything exceeded our expectations. The seasonal cake they served us was one of the best cakes I've had in my entire life and is made in house. The staff were super attentive and quick to bring us refills and our food. I would recommend this happily to anyone looking for a nice spot to bring a friend or partner for a light (but filling) lunch. Also, it's awesome that you can hang out at the VMFA before/after eating!

Finally had a chance to go to Floris for afternoon tea today. It was a lovely experience to celebrate my dear friend's birthday. The setting is beautiful, the service quite good and very friendly, and the tea selection excellent.

It was an extra treat to have unlimited tea, so we were able to each try two. And on this hot summer day, we especially enjoyed an herbal iced tea selection.

I had one hot with the assortment of tea sandwich, scones, and sweets. I later had an iced tea after we ate.

I was however a bit disappointed with the food. While I appreciated the Asian theme, to accompany the superb Samurai exhibit, I was disappointed with the overall lack of flavor.

Still, the presentation was spot on, and I look forward to trying Floris again with my husband in tow.

An absolutely lovely little tearoom to have a little meal while chatting with whoever you're with. Don't expect the menu to be exact since it's seasonal and based on availability of ingredients, but everything is fresh and high quality, which matters most to me since the menu would already be set anyways!! -- Lovely tea selection, hot and iced during these hot months. Alcohol, sparkling water, and kombucha optional for an added fee. A gluten sensitive tray is also optional for $55 instead of $45, but not cross-contamination guaranteed. Overall a wonderful experience, and we'll be going back!
